Hailed as Britain’s first Single-Estate gin and voted ‘double gold’ and best in class at San Fran’s spirits competition in 2016, Williams GB is most definitely a gin to talk about. Single – Estate gin basically means it has been grown, fermented, distilled and bottled by hand at the Chase farm in Herefordshire, pretty impressive.
Did you know this Williams GB gin is actually made from Chase vodka as a base? The methods used for both of these two spirits is the same right up to the final steps that will transform the Chase vodka to Williams GB gin. Like water to wine and after many years of perfecting, its now a fairly simple process to convert to the delicious Williams GB gin, just the addition of junipers, fresh spring water and a variety of botanicals.
The Chase Family have been going from strength to strength with their now hugely varied range of spirits, but we at Pint Shop think this could be our favourite of their gins.
Not only are we big fans of this Chase offering in particular but we will also be part of their ‘GB Tour’ taking place later this month.
