Meet Wild Card Brewery
We at Pint Shop always strive to bring you the best and most interesting beer from a range of breweries big and small, and this brewery will not disappoint.
With mini tap takeovers going down in Cambridge and Oxford over the next couple of weeks, we thought we would give you guys the low down on Wild Card brewery before you supped their tasty beers….
Wild Card Brewery was founded on the back of a hobby that got way out of hand. William, Andrew (Co-founders and directors) and Jaega (Head brewer and co-founder) started out as cuckoo brewers (borrowing other brewers equipment), trading on the back of their personal credit cards. The brewery moved to its Ravenswood site in Walthamstow in January 2014.
Wild Card have achieved a reputation for no-nonsense, uncompromising beers; with their core range being a great representation this. All beers are effortlessly drinkable, leaving you wanting pint after pint. As well as the core range, Wild Card love to brew their limited edition beers; using seasonal ingredients or whatever seizes their fancy they’ll brew limited runs of exciting new recipes every month. When they’re gone, they’re gone!
By 2017, the business was operating at full capacity so Wild Card sought to expand their production and bar facilities to meet demand. The brewery launched a crowdfunding campaign, with overwhelming success, and have now opened a second site in Walthamstow. This new location will create a new and vibrant drinking space for the Blackhorse area in Walthamstow, while the Ravenswood site will be refurbished to increase service speed, and the site will be used to launch Wild Card’s barrel-aged beer programme.
Sound good? Come along to our mini tap takeovers and meet William in the bar.
